Lilei Zheng
I am now a Research Scientist in I2R, A*STAR, Singapore.
Since 2005, I have been majoring in Computer Science, and then Machine Learning. The subject of my Ph.D. (LIRIS, INSA-Lyon) thesis is Metric Learning and Siamese Neural Networks. Lyon is a beautiful, peaceful and ancient European city in the southeast of France. J'aime Lyon!

MY FAVORITE COURSERA
Coursera is the most popular online course gallery. My favorite two courses are Machine Learning and Writing in the Sciences, which help me to start solid research and to write understandable papers.
Machine learning is the science of getting computers to act without being explicitly programmed. This course provides a broad introduction to machine learning, datamining, and statistical pattern recognition.
Writing in the Sciences teaches scientists to become more effective writers, using practical examples and exercises. Students from non-science disciplines can benefit from the training on general principles of effective writing.
